7/11 North Coast Ohio Chapter update

NORTH COAST PONTIAC CHAPTER (OHIO) The featured car for the month of July was the 1966 Bonneville owned by Linda & Vic Lerz. The Bonne has been affectionately named Belle. Linda has always enjoyed learning about classic cars. At the 2001 Mayfield, OH Cruise, she became motivated to find her own timeless machine. With Vic by her side, they traveled to various car shows to search. They were hoping to find a car at the 2002 POCI Convention in Charleston, WV. They had no luck, so they changed their technique. If they saw a classic of interest, they simple asked the owner if the car was for sale. As luck would have it, at the 2002 Woodward Dream Cruise, a 66 Poncho caught their eye. Her owner responded positively. Linda and Vic purchased the ageless beauty in September of 2002. The classic got a facelift from her previous owner including restoration for the seats, top, and exterior paint. She was ready to cruise. The Bonnes numerous features include 421 Tri- power, factory air, AM/FM Reverb, power seats, brakes, and steering, trunk release, tilt wheel, dual exhaust, air shocks, telescoping lights in the engine and trunk, and 8- lugs. And EVERYTHING works! Linda and Vic enjoy cruising their 66 to various car shows and cruise-ins. Most of the time the top is down. You can be sure to see them at Solon Commons Solon, OH every Tuesday. The Poncho was awarded Silver at the 2009 POCI Convention in Dayton, OH, and in 2010 she won the Gold Award at the POCI Convention in Charleston, WV. Coupled with the above, this classic has won awards at the NCPC All Pontiac Benefit Car Shows and the Arthritis Foundation Car Shows in Columbus, Ohio. This smooth riding, Cameo Ivory 66 Bonne with approximately 47,000 miles has great style and performance. Belle continues to be a joy to cruise.
