Alabama Chapter Update

On May 19th, a gorgeous "chamber of commerce type weather" spring day, the Alabama Chapter held it's 20th Annual Car Show and Swap Meet. The site was at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame overlooking the first and second turns of Talladega SuperSpeedway. In front of the registration area we displayed a 84 Grand Prix Winston Cup car loaned from the museum by Mike Brown. This was the first time we invited Chevies to our show and we had 86 GM cars and trucks completing for Top 25 Plaques and 7 Club Choice Trophies. Our own Ronnie Wilkinson did the Pontiac contingent proud by winning best of show honors with his silver and white 1958 Booneville. We also signed up three new members for the club.Thanks go out to our sponsors and all the volunteers who helped to make it a great event. At this months meeting we will start planning our caravan to Tulsa for the national convention. We hope to bring a large contingent west for the convention and the Can Am reunion. Come and join us.
