With the 2006 POCI Convention on the other side of the country, none of our members found it feasible to bring a show car to California, but our chapter still managed to bring home 2 awards; the Award of Distinction for our newsletter and the Award of Merit for our chapter display.

Over the summer, many of us attended local cruise nights and shows. Our chapter president kept busy drag racing his '62 Catalina at our 3 local drag strips. Way to go Ray! The chapters October 1st show had to be postponed until the 8th due to rain, but was very successful. We had a large assortment of GTOs ('64 to present) with only '72s and '73s not represented. As usual, class B, '55 to '64 had a good turnout.

We had cars show up from Long Island, Connecticut and even Rhode Island. Our "After the Holidays" party is scheduled for January 13th at Redd's restaurant in Carlstadt, NJ.
