December 2008 Chapter Update

11-29-08 The Long Island Chapter has been very active this past year. We had three car show's,a picnic, a bus trip, a field trip, and attended two charity event's. Members have also attended the National Convention, other chapter's car show's as well as local car show's. We recently lost our oldest member who died just short of his 96 birthday and still drove his 1970 GTO up till then. We also acquired a new member who is only 13 and owns a 1986 Grand Prix 2+2. He can't drive yet but will look forward to the day when he can bring this car to one of our show's. While many of our car's are going in to hibernation for the winter, there a lot of die hard's who use them all year long. We have a Sunday morning cruise to an ocean beach parking lot that many like to go faithfully every week.
