Happy New Year, 2026!

As we welcome the new year, we want to take a moment to thank our members for their continued support. The year ahead will be filled with new experiences and exciting progress for POCI and we’re so glad you’re part of the journey with us.

As we look toward 2026 and celebrating 100 years of Pontiac, one thing is clear, POCI is entering an exciting new chapter.

Our new Editor, Scott Scheel, has been hard at work preparing his first issue of Smoke Signals and continuing the award-winning quality that Tim Dye brought to the publication. To keep our website content fresh and engaging we're encouraging members to share more of their stories, our Website Committee will use your stories to improve our Feature Car page.

The 2026 Convention is shaping up to be one of the most important Pontiac events of the year. We look forward to celebrating 100 years of Pontiac in the town where it all started. The Pontiac Transportation Museum (PTM), Tim Dye, and the Convention Committee have been actively solidifying plans to make this year's convention a history making event; there are activities and tours planned that have never happened at a convention before. Meanwhile, the PTM staff is preparing the museum to showcase significant pieces of Pontiac history that our members will find informative and interesting.

And that’s just the beginning.

Throughout the year we will be looking for ways to highlight the 100th year anniversary, and bring new things to our POCI members. Our Scholarship Committee has been diligently working on some new opportunities for college students. Our Publications Committee has been working closely with Scott Scheel to bring a fresh look to the Smoke Signals. Our Membership Committee has been attending events and attracting new members. They have also had discussions with various members (both new and long-time members) to discover ways of improving the membership experience. Our Social Media Committee has expanded its team and is actively bringing new and engaging post to all of our social media pages.

2026 is going to be a great year.
