The Wakefield Buick-Pontiac Show and Shine in Spartanburg had a large range of cars--full size, intermediates, Firebirds, and FWDs--from 1955 to 2006. The weather cooperated, and we all had a good time viewing the cars and chewing the fat. Bill Alberts 69 GTO won Best of Show.

At our annual Pow-Wow at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC, 38 Pontiacs and GMCs turned up. We had all sorts of cars from 1939 to 2006. After a couple of years of low turnouts when we were concentrating on, or recovering from, hosting the national convention, the Pow-Wow is coming back! A big thanks to Hadwin-White Pontiac of Conway, who helped host the show and brought some 07 models to the show field. Mark Casstevens of Yadkinville, North Carolina, won first place for his 1970 GTO Convertible.

Our traditional after Christmas party will be held at Sticky Fingers in Irmo, SC, on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at 6:30 PM. The restaurant is at 380 Columbiana Drive at the Columbiana Mall. Bring an obscure small part for the parts identification game. All POCI members, or those interested in joining, are welcome.

Sticky Fingers is off I-26 just north of Columbia. Take I-26 Exit 102A ramp right to Lake Murray Blvd. West (SR 60) for about one-half mile. In March, we will be having our first drag racing of the season at Ware Shoals Dragway. Meet at the Princeton Restaurant at 12 noon on March 20th.
