Overhead Cammers Chapter News Jan 2008 Several members of the chapter are making plans now to attend the 2008 POCI Convention in Spearfish this summer. Were hoping to have a small contingent of ohc6 powered Pontiacs at this years convention and chapter President Jim Black will take the lead with his red 67 Sprint Lemans. Jim has not had this car at the convention since the Red Wing, MN event. It should be a great time and give us all the opportunity to see a different part of the country. We also welcome Beverly Reedy of Lincoln, Delaware as one of our newest members to join the chapter. Beverly recently had her stunning 1967 Firebird featured in the Jan/Feb issue of Pontiac Enthusiast Magazine. Her Firebird is powered by the base ohc6 and the restoration was just completed in June of 2006. Also noteworthy, it was part of an invitational display at the Carlisle All-GM Nationals in June 2007. Of major interest in our recent chapter newsletter was an article written by Rob Egbert on a 1 of 47 ohc6 powered station wagon owed by Steve Kramer of Dayton, OH. The 1967 Tempest wagon was factory assembled with the ohc6 4bbl version and is the genuine article. 1967 was the only year that the 4bbl equipped ohc6 could be ordered independently of the sprint package. In 1966, 1968 and 1969 the 4bbl ohc6 was only available within the sprint package, and not available on wagon models.
