PCPV Chapter Update

Pontiac Commercial and Professional Vehicle (PCPV) Chapter Pontiac Commercial & Professional Vehicle Chapter The January/February 2008 issue of the PCPV News contained photos of Pontiac pancakes and other junkyard run treasures. The GM history series continued, looking at the years 1948-59. Information on the Pontiac G8 and redesigned Vibe were also featured. We are making plans for our annual chapter meeting to be held at the Spearfish convention. NEW MEMBERS WANTED! The November/December 2007 issue of the PCPV News featured a very rare 1936 Pontiac Superior Hearse for sale in Minnesota, it is complete and would be one interesting vehicle to see a POCI member get a hold of. PCPV President Russell Scott updated his Christmas Wish List&including: car parts that never rust, the ultimate Pontiac museum within one days drive of my house, more members for the PCPV Chapter, repair manuals with clear instruction in LARGE print, and (we can all relate to this one) more garage space, lots more garage space! The General Motors history series continued, the years 1936 1943 were featured. In 1940, GM celebrated its 25-millionth U.S.-made car, and in 1943 GM formed the GMC Truck & Coach Division. The PCPV eBay Watch included two Pontiac Woodie Wagons and a 1972 Pontiac Bonneville Consort. The September/October 2007 issue of the PCPV News featured a look back at the Fine 59 wide-track Pontiacs. We enjoyed photos and a story about Nick Roenicks custom 1959 Pontiac El Camino, a neat conversion of a 1959 Catalina station wagon. There is a 1959 Pontiac Superior hearse for sale in central Minnesota, we are hoping to find a PCOI-home for this rare vehicle. Rod Brockman sent in a photo of his 1956 Pontiac sedan delivery, which will be treated to a body-off frame restoration. This issue included highlights of General Motors history from 1926-1935 and the PCPV eBay Watch (vehicles and Pontiac/Oakland/GMC accessories of interest to our members).
