Widetrackers in the Movies!!

About a dozen Widetracker Chapter members and their Pontiacs will be performing alongside Will Ferrell and Woody Harrelson in their upcoming movie "Semi Pro" which will be released on Leap Year Day, February 29, 2008. The movie is set in 1976 in Flint Michigan and will be shot in and around the Flint and Detroit area. Owner Jackie Moon, played by Will Farrell, attempts to break his semi pro basketball team, the Flint Tropic, into the NBA. This comedy follows closely on the heels of Farrell's latest box office hit "Blades of Glory" and there are hopes that it will be more successful than "Blades". This is not an automobile flick, but the cars will be very important in setting the time period for the movie. Although this will be the first major motion picture that the Michigan Widetrackers have participated in, it is not our first movie appearance. Remember "MICHIGAN IMPOSSIBLE" at the Joplin convention? "See you in the Movies."
